I'm looking to buy this golf ball monogramer for my brother for Christmas. I was wondering if anyone has used one. If so, I was also wondering if it is possible to spell more than just initials? I thought it'd be interesting to put some funny phrases on them to personalize them more. Thanks!

I've gotten a couple over the years as gifts for Xmas and/or Bday and they suck! Too much hassle to put 3 initials on your ball. A sharpie is much easier to use and quicker.

Get him personalized golf balls they are much cooler and you can put more than a lousy 3 initials. If you look around some places will have a special and personalize it free.

Or get him a 'Line M Up' so he can draw a line on his golf balls with a sharpie to help him line up his ball when putting or driving.

Both are better than the Ball Monogramer in my opinion.

Wow! I just got that exact one a couple of months ago from a golfing buddy of mine. I took it home and I tried personalizing my golf balls. Despite what it says about being easy; it was the most confusing thing that I have ever tried using. It didn't do anything. The next day I put it back in its box and wrapped it up and gave it back to my buddy. It turns out that he bought it and it didn't work for him either so he thought he could pawn it off on me. We went golfing the next weekend and ended up throwing it in the lake. We decided to just use what we were using in the first place, a good ol' Sharpie. It was a good laugh. Hope this helps. Happy Holidays.

Most serious golfers would rather just use a Sharpie to mark their ball instead of a monogramer. They are not usually easy to use and a waste of money in my opinion. If you want something personalized, go with a golf towel or set of towels with his name or initials sewn in.

My experience was poor quality monogram.
Better control with a Sharpie!

Most will only do three letters.and you have to coat them with clear saelant. The marks only last about one round.
