We have discovered galaxies millions of light years years away but no hell or heaven. The only proof that you claim to have is the bible written by man.Jesus's life was written by his apostles who were his supporters and so would only try to praise him.We could have believed it if it was written by a neutrel person. In fact nobody has proved soul exists. When we die all the things in the body remains where it was.Our mind is the result of acyivties taking place in the cerebellum of brain.

Actually they don't believe that at all. They believe that someone like Adolf Hitler could confess his sins on his deathbed, accept Jesus, and still go to heaven. However if you have the nicest kindest person in the world, for example Gandhi, who obviously was a great man and respected all human life, yet doesn't accept that Jesus was the son of God, well he is in hell.......sounds like a really f**ked up belief structure to me.

Gary sums up the stupidity of this quite nicely in his response below.

Heaven and Hell are spiritual places that flesh and blood cannot enter. The Bible was written by many men, not one man, through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. These were not ignorant, backwards men, many were highly educated and very intelligent. The gospels were penned by four men, only two were His apostles. Luke never met Christ and wrote his gospel, through the Spirit, using eye witness accounts to the events. It is believed Mark received his gospel from Peter. You connect the mind and brain as something interchangeable. Animals have brains, do they have minds? Insects have brains, do they also have minds? How do you know? The mind is not a physical entity, one may say it is the soul and spirit of a man. How would you go about determining whether an non-human possesses a mind?

Your idea that Our mind is the result of acyivties taking place in the cerebellum of brain is a misconception. Nothing happens to your mind when you die.

I think that you and many of those answering may be confusing mind with brain. Your brain is an amazing organ it controls our muscles, respiration, pulmonary function and a host of other lesser known functions, but it does not think.

Thought is a function of mind that exists independent of anything physical. What appears to be the brain thinking in brain function imaging and other brain measuring attempts is only blood flow being measured to the part of the brain that acts as an interface between the mind and the body. This is the secondary function of the brain after regulating bodily functions. It acts as the interface, or the mind body connection.

Without it there would be no way for the nonphysical mind to exert any control over the physical body.
It is interesting that science has done its best to overlook this fact for so long. The silly idea that thought is some magical function of some mysterious electrochemical reaction is so vague as to be hilarious. There are several ways to disprove this theory beyond any shadow of a doubt.

Being nonphysical in source your mind is in no way effected by the death of the body and loss of the mind body interface, or brain.

Love and blessings.

Heaven and Hell are spiritual. No live human being will ever find either one. It does not depend if you are good, I depends on if you believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for you and if you have accepted him as your Lord and Savior as well as living a Christian life. Also asking for forgivness when you sin. If you do not meet these standards then sadly, yes, you will not go to heaven. You do not get to heaven through good deeds. The criminal that was being crucified next to Jesus stood up for him at the last minute. Jesus responded" Today, you shall be with me in paradise". He forgave the criminal even though he did so many bad things.

First and most important of all no true Christian claims being sinless or superior. That is one of the core elements of our faith, that we aren't powerful enough to save ourselves from sin. To prove this, if you can go a single week without masturbating I will erase this entire conversation. If you can't, even when you get convinced that you don't need to listen to me or he's a religious nut, then you know that we are powerless. That is why Christ came to the world, not to overlord his power over us but to become one of us, in the lowliest of ways. He is the true Son of God and chose to suffer nd die in a way so courageous that it, with the Holy Spirit, has given His followers strength throughout time to overcome prosecution. So if you believe that we just fade out of existence then that is your choice but then what is the point of life if there is no greater good. Imagine the world where people did what they wanted what they when they wanted. There would be chaos and death and destruction and you know that, and you know these things are wrong. Think about a worl without the faithful to uphold the teachings of Christ. Of peace not retaliation, of love and not hatred, of humility not self praise, of chastity and not lust that destroys everything it touches, of everything good and pure and holy that this wold fights to hold on to. Think with your heart.

God Bless,
Elisha

I am Christian an don't believe as you have stated. I do believe that all souls will go to Heaven. There they will judged by a loving Heavenly Father and given the reward they have earned through obedience and repentance. Suffering will come to many as they realize that they could have had all God has if they had only listened and heeded Him.

Christians don't believe that good people go to heaven and bad people go to hell. In fact, all have sinned, but all have the same the same way out. The only sin that can be committed that would sent you to hell is the sin of not excepting Jesus Christ as the atoning sacrifice for your sins.

If you want to put bad people in a good place, why not invite them to YOUR house!

Better yet, what's your address, will have the PENETENTARY bus releasing level 3, 4 and 5 prisioners do it on your doorstep since you care about "bad people" so much.

I don't believe that "good people" go to heaven. I believe that anyone who accepts that Jesus died on the cross for their sins, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd day and that he is their Lord and Savior will go to heaven. Whether or not the were "good" people is not for me to judge.
