Eggnog
6 eggs
1 cup + 1 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
3/4 cup brandy
1/3 cup dark rum (Captain Morgan for best flavor, but Myers is OK)
2 cups whipping cream
2 cups milk
All liquids should be very cold. Refrigerate in advance.
Beat the eggs for 2 or 3 minutes with an electric mixer at medium speed until very frothy. Gradually beat in the sugar, vanilla and nutmeg. Turn the mixer off and stir in the cold brandy, rum, whipping cream and milk Chill before serving. Sprinkle individual servings with more nutmeg.

Makes about 2-1/2 quarts.

I like egg nog. As for the taste, well it has it's own unique taste,
so it's hard to say. But I can say this It is good, but then again
that is coming from my very own experience on the tasting.
All you have to do is try it, you don't even have to get a full cup,
just a small cup to were your going to take a sip and that is it.
Let your taste bud, be the judge. As for the ingredients, I don't
pay any attention to it. I'm to busy drinking the whole thing. I'm the
only one in my family that drinks the stuff. I have picky eaters
and so they are pick on everything. Try it you might like it and
you might not, it won't hurt. Good Luck!!

My family loves Egg nog. Taste wise its all about the brand that you buy. The more expensive ones like Hood are creamy and have a very rich taste. Some of the cheaper ones have a really strong Nutmeg taste that I personally am not a fan of.
Ingredients....Eggs, Sugar, milk, Heavy whipping cream, and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Bourbon and Rum for the Alcoholic type.

No - it's made with cream, sugar and eggs, beaten together, but you can't taste the egg - it's more like a thick, frothy cream that has been spiced cinnamon and nutmeg. Try it mixed with some rum or brandy ;)
