lots of fun toys, thats what I did when me and my baby girl went for an 8 hour trip :) oh and something to listen to that your baby would find soothing to play on head phones :)

Remember to keep it simple. Carry on a bag of diapers/wipes ...enough for a full day in case of a delay. 1 extra blanket, 1 extra single piece (closed foot). Some parents bring a dropper of baby tylenol - to help them sleep and relieve ear pain if there is pressure. Formula for 1 day and extra water to mix it with. Pacifier, attached to a clip on thier outfit so you dont loose it. Have a extra spit towel and a bib on in case baby spits up. Those can be tossed if they get soiled-dont tote it around. Check with the airlines for tips too!! Have a good trip!

Let's see, we just went to Colorado this summer.
1. Plenty of toys and things to distract your baby.
2. Frequent stops, to let your little one crawl around at a rest stop on a blanket.
3. Chop up the trip into short distances.
After a while they hate getting back into their car seat.
4. Try to keep your little one active as much as possible. My daughter slept most of the time in the car and then wouldn't go to sleep at night!
5. Window sun shades on both sides of the car. My daughter would scream when the sun was too bright in her eyes.
