No. The religion is called Islam and Muslims are the followers of it. More like Christians are followers of Christianity.

Muslims are the people claiming to follow Islam but the only real Islam existed in Mohammads time...todays Muslims only think they are Muslims....but they are becoming more and more westernized every day...for God's sake there is even a McDonalds in Mecca!!!
