She needs to be kept hydrated, she's just gotten better from a real bad case of rat poisoning. Now she's really tired and has a fever and she needs to be kepy hydrated, but she only will eat popsicles and ice cream. Are popsicles okay?

No, and another big no to the ice cream as well. All of that sugar is exactly not what your dog needs. Find chicken broth (no salt, no onions!) and use that to make popsicles.

i think Popsicles are fine but the ice cream is a bad idea i know dogs like ice cream but even when us humans are sick the doctors say don't eat ice cream to drink plenty of clear liquids such as broth the Popsicles are just juice and water but even humans need more than Popsicles or drinks so try some baby food that's pureed so the dog can get some nutrition in its stomach try just alittle bit a time and see how that works if the dog likes it good.

good luck

Give her ice or freeze your own popsicles with water and little bit of fruit juice to make them as natural as possible. It's not a good idea to give your dog popsicles from the store that have corn syrup and other artificial stuff. Ice cream isn't a good idea either.

WARNING! Don't access any links from man. ******.com contains a virus. You can give your dog Popsicles on a short term basis to keep her hydrated. Don't give too much. Don't give sugar free. The sugar free contain nutra sweet which is not good for dogs.

The Popsicles are fine, its basically flavored water. I wouldn't give her too much ice cream tho. Dairy tends to curdle and she could vomit. Good Luck.

That's a bad idea to give her popsicles when she has a flu.Why don't you take her to the doctor and ask him/her to help you.I'm not sure if it's right but that's my thinking.

try a little bit of chicken stock (not too much it can be salty) and water in a big container - freeze it and tip it out for your dog to lick and play with. Mine loves it as a distraction when I go to work.
