I have chow husky mix and we were told that her mother was an alaskan husky and that her dad was a chow. The breeders father had recently gotten a chow off the streets and he got his husky pregnant. The puppy's for the most part do not look husky. She is black and has a husky tail and NO purple tongue. The vet said that she is probably a teddy bear chow..... Does this sound right?

since she is a mix, she doesnt have to have a purple tongue, sometimes a mix will have a spotted tongue or just a regular pink tongue :) hope this helps :)

Being a mixed breed your dog may not have all the charastics of one breed or the other.
Many chows and mixes of chow do not have a solid purple tounge. Many have spots or pink it depends on the dog.
You dog is a chow husky mix. It is a nice combination.
I had one years ago. Marked like a husky with the longer chow hair. He had blue eyes and was a great dog.

Because she's a mix she doesn't have to have the purple tongue. I had a Chow mix and she didn't have a purple tongue either, just one small purple spot on her tongue.
