Well...commonly I think at least like 80. But max I think you should do like 90-100 pounds. I'm not sure if those ranges are right, but it all depends on your type of build of your body.

Hope this is helpful :)

I really think that's subjective, and it depends on the individual, their activity level, bodytype, genetics, lifestyle, and fitness goals. Generally, a serious long distance runner won't be able to bench as much as, say, a gymnast. Someone who works out compared to a couch potato will likely be able to do more. Also, some people are simply naturally stronger than others (a frustrating fact).

When I first started lifting seriously, I could barely do a set of 10 reps at 115 lbs. Now I can max out at about 335 lbs. Took me a while to get there, but the point is you can work towards whatever you want to do. We do have some control over our physiques and physical abilities.

Good luck!

For your weight @ 118lbs:

1 X 188lbs and you will be classed excellent
1 X 153lbs and you will be classed good
1 X 136lbs and you will be classed average
1 X 118lbs and you will be classed below average
1 X 117lbs and you will be classed poor

My nephew is 15 and weights 125 and he can bench 1 X 205
(increased his 1 rep max by 50lbs over the summer)

His brother is 16 and weights 160 and he can bench 1 X 135
(increased his xbox 360 skills over the summer)

Your young so you have plenty of time to build up your bench press if you keep at it.

I've heard a healthy person should be able to lift his own weight.
