I am replacing the sheetrocked walls in a motel room and the walls are all rotted out from moisture. On the back, it's all that black mold! Is this hazardous?

If it is indeed mold, then YES. Its very hazardous. If it gets into your lungs it keeps growing until it completely suffocates you. It starts with a very nagging cough and over time it gets worse and eventually your lungs are inundated with it and you die from asphyxiation.

If this black stuff is MILDEW, then you are OK. Not that mildew is ok to breathe but its not as hazardous as black mold.

Have someone (reputable) check it out BEFORE you freak out. Not all mold is bad. Not all "black" mold is hazardous. Have a pro look at it first.

Black mold can be very toxic. Suggest you purchase lots of Clorox bleach and put it in a pump sprayer. Use the right protective clothing and spray the entire area with the bleach, then let it dry.
