Get away from the situation, take a walk, play a computer game, smoke a cigarette, cry. When you have calmed down rationally talk to the person you are angry with. If its not a big deal drop it. If it is a big deal resolve the conflict so that the anger doesn't build up and you let it out on someone who doesn't deserve it.

I used to resolve my anger issues in bad ways... like yelling at my kids, eating too much and crying alot. I have learned to take care of myself and I have lightened up a bit. I run now... not anything crazy, like 3 miles a day... I feel so much better and I look forward to my run every day.

What is causing you to be angry? If there are changes you have to make in your life, then change them. But, we cannot change people, and anger causes hurt and unhappiness.
God is Love and we are made in His Image and Likeness.
If you believe in Prayers do so, and read the 23rd Psalm ""The Lord Is My Shepherd, I shall not Want.............""
Also time spent with Family and friends can sometimes chase anger away.

by calming down, analyze what triggers your anger and what part of you react to it and why. there is a reason for everything. once you gain the insight for 'the matter', you will develop understanding and compassion for it then the anger level will drop automatically also. i know there is a saying "being antry is punishing yourself with other's mistakes!"

Though I might get frustrated, or irritated with others there are only one or maybe two people that I actually get ANGRY with...
With those people in certain situations I have learned to separate myself. When you get angry you have to recognize that emotion and be prepared to deal with it.
Even once I separate myself from those people it takes awhile for me to calm myself down. A lot of talking myself into it. And remembering happy things.
Anger is a very powerful emotion and one that is best not acted upon

i don't really resolve my anger. I just yell at everyone that makes me mad. Alot of people think i'm mean, i just think i'm managing my stress levels differently than anyone else does.

Usually there is a reason for your anger such as your parents, girlfriend, or other reasoning. Figure out what causes you to become angry and learn to meditate before acting....

I recall how so often I have treated my fellowman. How God was so willing to forgive me of that, and then I realize I really don't have anything to complain about. So as best I can, I with the Help of the Holy Spirit forgive them.
