I suppose it depends on what you mean by "high intensity". Generally in lifting circles, it means that you're attempting to stimulate muscle mass by "shocking" and "overloading" the muscles, such as by doing supersets, drop sets, circuit training or pyramids. These usually indicate back to back sets to get a good pump. However, I wouldn't necessarily do this every day, maybe once or twice a week at the most.
If you read some literature by Arnold and some of his contemporaries, they used intensity type workouts to great advantage, but to extreme levels. Hovever, many of these guys juice up, and anabolics allows your body to take advantage of such workouts without breaking down too much. Those of us who are natural bodybuilders, to attempt to such workouts without pharmaceuticals can lead to overtraining and actual loss in muscle mass.

Yes. As I'd told someone else, overload (doing more than you usually set to do) is a good method. But remember to rest your muscles if they become sore! Also, if your eating sweets and things like that, than your workouts are useless. Add more protein to your diet and fruits and veggies before you workout to give you quick energy.
Hope this helps :) Good luck :)
