Most states require a puppy to have his first Distemper/Parvo (DA2PP) Combo at 6-8 weeks

3 - 4 weeks later they get another Distemper/Parvo (DA2PP) booster, some vets like to throw in the mix a Lepto and or Corona in the Combo (DA2PP- L or CvK)......just depends on the vet. ( some times puppys who get Lepto too you may have an allergic reaction)

3 - 4 weeks later they should get their final Distemper/Parvo booster with Lepto and or Corona in it.

It standart at 12 to 16 weeks a puppy should be vaccinated for rabies - because at this time the antibodies the puppy had from his mother are now worn off and leaves the puppy more suseptable and unprotected from this virus.

So puppies should get 3 DA2PP boosters and 1 rabies shot in total.

Your puppy should also get regular fecal test at each visit to the vets office, to test for internal parasites ( their immune systems are so fragile at this time in their life and as any puppy owner knows they put everything in their mouth and thats the most common way they infect themselves with parasite ovums.)
