Why create people as His beloved children (and in His image) and then create hidden poisons, germs, and parasites to torture them and kill them in such cruel way? Sadistic, but not intelligent.

Why submit even babies to such tortures? Incredibly cruel and stupid.

Why does so much of nature work by waste and cruelty? Wild dogs run other animals to exhaustion and then eat them slowly alive, bite after bite! A kind intelligent God?

It seems to me, looking at nature, the Old Testament painted the correct picture of a cruel, vain, vengeful and stupid God.

Let intelligent design be taught in schools. And we can then point out the incredibly stupid designs as well. If God is perfect, then even one stupidity, one imperfection, one cruelty, snuffs him out. Evolution on the oher hand, does not require perfection.

This cannot be answered unless you accept the theory of Karma, which the Hidus believe. In nutshell, there is a cycle of creation and hiberation, both alternating one antoher. In the phase of creation, according to God's lila various forms of life evolve. In the evolution of life, there will be an interplay of good and the bad and whenever the balance is unduly disturbed, a corrective measure will come to operate naturlally. Between the interplay of thesis and anti-thesis, a synthesis will result. In Creation, life evolves with a mixture both the positive and negative traits. The suffering of man can be best understood by the theory of karma. Karma is a theory of destiny, a divine law of cause and effect. Soul being a microsmic energy acquire the colour and character of the life's experience. As long this stain remains attachment to the soul, it keeps taking birth after birth. The suffering is the way you expiate your karma, which in turns helps in liberation of the soul i.e. Moksh. Hence, your suffering is the result of your past karma and you need to undergo the suffering in order to work out the karma.

Actually there is no duality in this universe.
Proof: - just see how many things are around you just now!!!
But you can think of only one of them at a time, this is due to the fact that ---mind has to focus on it to be perceived!!!
But all have their own characteristics (GOOD & BAD, intelligent design, stupid and cruel design only when it is focused on and be perceived) until then it lacks the characteristics.
Thus is it not true that after the topic is focused by the mind the characteristics are established!!! So does it not make sense that the characteristics are established only in the brain and definitely not in the objects by themselves?
I STRONGLY FEEL THAT ALL DUALITY (DWAITHA OPPOSITES) IS IN THE MIND OF THE PERSON AND (ADWAITHA NON-DUALITY IS ACHIVED WHEN WE CAN GO BEYOND THE THINKING BRAIN AND THOUGHTS

No, don't let it be taught in schools -- doing so, even if kids recognize how incredibly stupid it is, elevates it to a similar level as science. That is way, way more than it deserves.

The whole premise is absurd: there are things to complex we don't understand them, so they must have come from god.

Well, all we need to understand complex things that we don't already understand is time to learn and study them; and even if we never understand something, it doesn't mean god had anything to do with it, it just means we don't understand. To conclude god designed something requires proof god designed something -- not proof we don't understand it.

Then, as you point out, there is stupid design...take the human eye, which IDiots often use as one of their "so complex" things. First, the light-sensitive cells in our eyes face BACKWARDS, making our eyes only half as sensitive as they could be if they just faced the other way around. They're backwards because they evolved from light-sensitive organelles on nematode skin, which had to have the sensitive cells on the inside so they didn't get damaged. But if I were designing it from scratch -- I'd make 'em right, and "god" is supposed to be smarter than me, right? Then there's our blind spot where the retina attaches to the optic nerve -- dumb design. And the optic nerve attachment -- not very robust, detached retinas are common at the slightest jarring, another dumb design. Those things clearly show an evolution of the eye, and how it came together from disparate pieces -- they don't show an intelligent design unless your designer is an idiot. Squid have MUCH better eyes than we do -- two to four times as sensitive, better vision in the dark, no optic-nerve blind spot, no detached retinas, and they don't get cataracts or floaters. Does that mean god thinks squid are his ultimate creation? Or could it just be that squid eyes went along a different evolutionary path after mammals split from their line millions of years ago, and by the luck of the draw they did better? :)

ID is unadulterated pap. It has no foundation in science, and it's even a compromise with pure creationism. It's not useful in any context.

Intelligent design is just a theory people have come up with to try to make sense of their literal interpretations of the Bible. It's kind of like the trinity theory, it really doesn't make sense no matter how hard you try to explain it- because it was concieved by mankind and not by God. Intelligent design isn't implied by the Bible, nor should it be. It's a silly and simplistic notion that people have been quick to embrace just because it backs up their beliefs. Eventually it will be proven wrong and people will embrace the next convenient idea that comes up.

This world as we know it has a temporary landlord and his name is Satan the Devil, remember him? He is EVERYTHING opposite of our heavenly creator,Jehovah God,and he knows that his time is soon up. Satan is all about pain and confusion he is the master of manipulation and the father of lying.Read the account at Genesis 3:1-5 in any bible and see for yourself how mankind,as we know it,got to be the way it is. But know this, in the bible book of Revelation chapter 21 Jehovah, will undo all that Satan has brought to mankind. So please don't be so quick to ridicule the only one who's responsible for giving us eternal life in a more peaceful, beautiful, negative free world very soon. When you close your ears and eyes to truth and light you're playing right into Satan's hands.

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

You thinking is totally carnal. This flesh life is at best 80 years if you live that long. What is 80 years compared to eternity.

This flesh life is a testing ground to see if you can be justified.

All will be judged by a fair and righteous God.

Continue to focus on the carnal rather than spiritual and you will perish missing out on eternal life. Eternal life where you never grow old, no pain, no tears, no boredom, and all things that offend, removed, blotted out of the book of life.

Why so worked up about it?

I've never been able to understand the Atheists tendency to foam at the mouth at the mention of God. Methinks the person doth protest too much.

I agree. This is but one of the several reasons creationism and ID make no sense, and that the Bible is outdated. I think that people should follow God and not the Bible.

There are bad things in this world. That is why I would be an atheist were it not for the fact that I have seen Jesus personally. But I agree totally.
