I want to work out over winter break and get ready for spring and summer. So, any tips on what to do that will get my legs and abs in better shape. thx! :)

A good brisk walk for 30-40 minutes 3 times a week will tone you up. Walking works every muscle group, and will give you those heart-shaped calves that men find very sexy.

For toning your own body weight is the best resistance a shitload of calisthenics well I don't know you might not be heavy enough :-) stairs and lunges for the butt and legs and and of course sit ups and crunches one good one is the full body crunch meet your elbows and your knees above your stomach it burns good :-) Of course if you want the best reference guide to any muscle building it is Arnold's complete bodybuilding encyclopedia

sit ups and step excercises might work. can do both at home without having any equiptment.
