They were found seperatly from the rest of the Essene texts. It always seemed a little suspect to me.

Way way wrong. I worked at the Rckerfeller Museum years ago and had the honor of listening to some of the greatest archaeological minds of that time (Christian and Jewish} and was there when they did carbon testing and it is all 100 per cent authentic.

actually I have been to the "Shrine of the Book" in the Israel museum.


all the parchments are from Qumran. The only question is weather they were written there or assembled by the Essene sect.

but yes they are all within the 200 BC range.

I see no reason to believe they are a forgery. If one wanted to make a forgery, they probably would have made them exactly like the book of Isaiah, but in fact, there are numerous differences.
