Piercings are okay but not a tattoo. I had my ears pierced in the 10th grade and I have always loved having them pierced. I have 3 earrings in each ear. But a tattoo is something different.Your a bit too young for a tatto. It's something that you'll live with for the rest of your life and then you may be sorry. You can have them removed but again it's expensive. My husband has both his arms with tattooes and now he's sorry.I think they look good on him. He got his when he was young.I love tattoes but then I don't have any.

Well, I think that 14 is a little young to start. I personally have 14 piercings, but several of them were not till I was out of high school. Parental consent it a must at this age, I know in my state you can't get anything except ears done unless you are 16 and you still have to have a parent sign for you until you are 18. They are also rather expensive and a tattoo, obviously is permanent. I would make sure that, if you go with a tattoo, it is not a fad or something that you like now, because you are going to be a very different person in a few years. For a piercing, I have 2 on my face and I love them, but I had an eyebrow that rejected and now I have a scar. I was 18 when it happened and I accepted the fact that I made the choice to have it done and I don't mind it, if I was younger I might have thought differently. So choose wisely and remember that you will have it, or a visible reminder of it, forever.

In all actuality the only one who can answer that would be you, and your guardian. In most states you must be 18 or 16 with a legal guardian present. I would suggest you look into that first so that you do not get your hopes up. I think you should really do some thinking before you settle on your answer. True, piercings do not cause as lasting effects if you decide you do not want them later down the line, but they do still leave a scar and if you do not take care of the piercing then it can get infected and cause a whole lot of trouble. I actually had one of my piercings ripped out before and although it is completely healed up now i still have a scar from it that will obviously never go away. As far as getting a tattoo i would suggest you wait until you are older. What you may want to get now is not something you may like in ten or twenty years. If and when you decide to get a tattoo it should be something unique that displays some aspect of your persona. You dont want to get something everyone else has you are gonna want something that when people see it they can tell why you would have chosen it for yourself. If you are set on the tattoo i would still suggest that you wait a while and really put some thought into it, because they are very expensive for good work and they are in fact a lifelong commitment. And please, before you go anywhere to have anything done do some research into the parlor and make sure they have satisfied customers and a clean environment.

You're way too young for that! Especially something permanent like a tattoo. Your entire outlook on life could change from seventh grade to eighth grade to eleventh grade--mine did! Imagine getting a tattoo when you're 14 and looking back on it in regret in 3 or 4 years. Not fun.
Wait until you're older. I always think 16 is a good age for new piercings and 18 is best for tattoos.

You shouldn't be thinking about those things until you're at least 18 years old. You should be studying for school and making friends. That's alot more important than a tattoo or piercing. I didn't get the one on the back of my neck until I was 19. My best advise is for you to wait.

No, I wouldn't let you get a piercing. I'm 20, not old by any means, so please listen to me when I say this - you are still a child. Not small, no, but you are still a child. I am hardly an adult at 20! If your parent says no, then no letter will help you. Wait until you are legally old enough to poke a hole into yourself. Lip rings, in my opinion, are not cute or attractive. If anything, they just make you look less intelligent. Just as you said that you would respect your father's opinion even though you disagree with it I think you should be mature enough to realize that he may respect your opinion of thinking a lip ring is cool but he will disagree with you actually getting it. You only have 2.5 more years.

you may be able to get the pericing you want but as far as the tattoo goes i would really really wait a few more years to do this as you are still young and your body is growing still and this might afect your tattoo later in life and make it ugly as your skin and body is still growing and it may screw your tattoo up and i dont think you can or would find a artist to tattoo you at such a early age even with your parents thier unless your going to get a tat from a garage and some underground artist that works from home which i would tell you not to do.. Trust me i waited 8 years to get my first tat and it was well worth the wait as i would have gotten some dumb things i would have had to remove or cover up so sit on the idea for a while and when you hit 18 and you still want it go for it..

NO.
I hate to break it to you, but no matter what you think is "cool" at the end of 8th grade, I can guarantee you aren't going to think that in 2 years.
There are reasons for the laws that exist. It's to keep you from doing something you're going to regret, because you're too young and immature.

hell no... to be blunt... for the tattoo wait until you are 18 and legal. as much as you might not want to believe it... in the next couple years your tastes could change 100% and you would be stuck with a tattoo you didnt want. also.. no reputable tattoo shop would tattoo someone who is 13/14. As far as the piercing... you werent specific as to what kind so I guess that would depend on what your school and parents allow

I let my 14 year old daughter get her belly button peirced at the end of 8th grade, but no way will I let her get a tatoo. She's a lot to young to do anything that permanent to her body.
