The actual answer to this question is the "Egg." If somebody says that the chicken came first, then where did the chicken come from. Outer space? A lot of other people state that God had created the chicken first and made it an egg-layer. Well the question itself implies evolution, not creation. So lets just take the bible and stick it on the top shelf for a while. If you want to philosophize on this question and not see that the truth is the egg, that is your business. Have a good day.

I used to work in a grocery store. The eggs usually are delivered by 7:30 AM. The chickens normally arrive by 11:30. so I guess the eggs came first.

The chicken and her mate, to fertilize, were created at the same time by God, then the female sat on the egg in order for it to survive.

Either the egg or the chicken must have simply been *created* since neither could have come into existance without the other having come before it at some point. (Which is why the question is always asked)
