If a girl wants to go out with a guy and he doesn't ask, then she should ask.Maybe he is afraid to ask and he is afraid of rejection.The male ego is easily bruised.

I think the guy should so ask the girl out and make the first move and all that. Why because well I don't know it just seems...well right.
But sometimes the guy you like doesn't like you back or is too shy to ask you out or something else and of course you don't know that and you can't live with the uncertainty of weather he will ever ask you out or not so sometimes us girls just have to work up the courage to go ask him out ourselves. And then if he says yes then great now you have a boyfriend thanks to what well not cuz you waited around for him but because you went and asked him! if he says no well then at least your not waiting around for him to come and ask you out when chances are it may never happen!
So my answer a guy should because it is supposed to happen that way but a girl because it turns out that way!?

I think that guys should ask a girl out, but sometimes they take to long and we have to step up to the plate

For shy guys then the girls should do the job.
It also depend on the suitiation.
If the guy just meet the girl, then the guy should do the job.
If the guy and the girl are close friends, then it depend who got more courage.

Its wierd 90% of the time if I ask a girl out she says no. but girls ask me out and I like it, so I guess girls should.

To me it seems more formal for a guy to ask out a girl..unless the guy has no idea that a girl likes him or that the girl is desperate...in that case...girl-ask-guy.

a guy should do it because it shows that he can step up and be a man, and that the girl is patient. Personnaly i dont really want a guy who is a panzy.

Wow i would be really turned on if a hot girl asked me out.

girls should ask guys, because we never know what you girls are thinking .. at least they should ask shy guys because outgoing guys don't get nervous asking
also they should do it to see how rejection feels, see what we go through!!!
why should guys have to ask? because of tradition? tradition is stupid. girls don't want to ask because asking sucks.
