your credit card number is the numbers that are on the front of the card. also sometime referred to as an account number

A credit card number is a unique identifier of your account tied with the card.

The first 6 digits indicate the organization that issued the card (IIN).
The other digits (all but the last one) constitute the account number.
The last digit is a checksum digit that verifies that the number is valid.
