I am an 8th grade girl with hair cut like a guy's. That's just the way I like it. I don't care what anybody thinks, but it bugs me when people stare at me ing the girls bathroom or tell be I don't belong in there. What should I say? It also is annoying when I get called a guy. What should I do. I like my hair and when t-shirts and shorts or windpants and a sweatshirt. Help!!

People are gonna flag me for this, but I'm gonna be as honest as I can (and tell you what I'd tell my daughter).
People your age are cruel when it comes to issues of non-conformity, especially when gender and sexual orientation are concerned.
That is because everyone at your age is very anxious about their own body's development. If you look around here, there must be a million posts from 8th graders anxious about their body parts, weight, makeup, etc.
Your haircut, rightly or wrongly, is sending signals that either your body isn't turning female, or that you're a lesbian. In the 8th grade, those signals are not dealt with in a mature manner by other people, and sometimes not by the adults in your life.
So you've got a choice here. You can either try to send a few more feminine signals, or you can learn to live w/ the cr*p that you're getting now. Either has its own pain.
Your short hair would be less of an issue if it was styled like a woman's short hair cut. And, you need to make sure that you sent out lots of other "feminine" signals with your appearance - makeup, clothes, etc.
I'm not saying that any of this is "right" or "wrong" -- it's just the way it goes in most places in the 8th grade.

i have a friend who had the same problem...but she just would kick their a**!!!!! but if you dont do that then i would just tell the girls that you like the hair and it doesent matter if they like or dislike your hair...its your hair...you can do whatever the heck you want to do with your hair..its yours....and if they dont like it who cares...as long as you do then who cares what other people say or think....if they dont like you the way that you are then....who cares what they think..you really shouldent care.....thats what they want you to do is care what they say...and you shouldent.....hatin on other people wont make them anymore prettier...but thats what they all think....or just ignore them if it gets to the point where they just wont stop.....if they keep bugging you about it then they are jelous of it or you

When they stare at you say what are you looking at and when they tell you that you dont belong say you dont either you little preppy...that will get you through the 8th grade!!! (plz grow your hair)

If you didnt care what people thought, it wouldnt bug you when they made stupid comments to you. But if you really DO care, let your hair grow out, or at least dress in more feminine clothes.

try cute girly hair accesories. after it grows a little longer get the curling iron, curl it outward, and apply moouse in it to stick and stay *its way better than hairspray which is sticky & smelly :)*. i hope this advice works for you! good luck girl!! :))

Well you can stay that way untill the summer. Then during summer break grow it out so when you go back to school people would be like "Wow so cool".

I used to have a similar problem so I got my ears pierced and word feminine earrings.
