People don't care what God wants. They actually believe it is okay because the think Christians took the pagan from pagans. they do not realize pagans took Christianity over by turning Christianity into pagan traditions. They love their music even knowing the first century Christians did not use instruments of music, or celebrate birthdays, or decorate trees . Every thing about modern Christianity is pagan in origin. am pagan myself and I think it is funny how Christians are pagan and do not even know it

You ask if we can honestly say that it's OK to paganize the life of Jesus.
The reality, historically, is that pagan rituals were judaized and christianized, etc., so that they would be seen to be acceptable to a larger population.
Further, if you look into ancient Egypian myth, you will find something called the godman myth. Read it, and as you do so, compare it to what you were taught about jesus. You'll find, once again, a pagan myth, christianized.
Here's a hint for you. There was no such thing as a roman catholic in the times that you refer to. There was no such thing as an organized church of any ilk. This took more than 300 years following the "death" of the myth called jesus.
Further, the earliest followers of the jesus myth were actually jews. The arbitrary choice of the 25th of December was chosen, once again, to make it more acceptable to the overall population, which was already beginning an eight-day holiday on the 25th of the month, a month called Kislev, which falls anywhere from late November to late December. This is because the jewish calendar is a soli-lunar one, an adaptation that keeps each holiday within a particular time of year. After all, one wouldn't celebrate a harvest holiday in the middle of winter.
I'd suggest that more than a bit of reading on the history of religion is in order for you. A good place to start is with Karen Armstrong's "A history of God : the 4000-year quest of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam" and "The great transformation: the beginning of our religious traditions". There are many, many other titles and authors. Please open your mind. You'll much the better for having done so.

I am an atheist who is currently researching the pagan religions. I would think that christians would be happy to give up a holiday that has become incredibly commercialized. Personally the part about Christmas that I like best is being with my family (and of course, buying presents for the younger generation). It's fun to watch the kids opening their presents.

confident, i will comprehend why an individual is slightly offended over the derision of something they love. For those of you who opt for to point out that Christmas is suitable to a pagan trip, examine on. The custom of Christmas recognizes the delivery of Jesus (a Jew) Christ. collectively as many Christians themselves soak up the tutorial arguements of whilst it incredibly occured, the exhilaration of Christmas is understanding that a Savior replaced into born. The prophets of the previous testomony fortold of the arriving of a Son of God, a redeemer. in case you believe in Jesus, then you definately besides would believe that Sins could be forgiven. collectively as there have been probable many distinctive fairs during the iciness, the Roman Emperor trusted his dedication to Christ and presented yet another greater proper thank you to have fun. Being an Emperor, a Roman and a Catholic, he replaced into asked by using the folk to renowned a greater savory social gathering of Christ's delivery for he had the skill to realize this. It ought to have been a good concept because of the fact it worked. And it nevertheless works to this day. And it incredibly is an concept that works on any day. Channuka is likewise celebrated immediately of 12 months, alongside with Kwanzaa and Hajj. Are those additionally in line with pagan holidays? Is no longer something sacred? There are Feasts during the Calendar 12 months to renowned the Saints of the Church. there are probable some Pagans who's feet are being stepped on any of those days to boot. Sorry! For those of you who might opt for to assert that Christians believe in a lie, I say what harm is it? Does it harm you that Christians believe in forgiveness? Does it harm everyone to proportion that exhilaration? whilst does everyone celebrating Jesus' birthdate or whilst the date occured in a Calendar 12 months count? in case you do no longer believe then why hardship? the easy actuality is that Christians are celebrating God's Manifestation on the earth. for people who opt for to argue appropriate to the date, argue on. for people who opt for to p.c.. aside different individuals's ideals and what they carry expensive, bear in suggestions that Christmas is a Roman Catholic trip and that Christ is widely known at Mass 12 months a 12 months contained in the Church with Love of God.

Sure man, but to me, it's all pretty arbitrary.
Jesus, Muhammed, George Bush. What's the difference, man?
No two people hold exactly the same beliefs, and in the end, we're all probably wrong.
Christmas is my second favorite Holiday behind Holoween. My belief system has no name because I made it up. My beliefs are a bunch of silly mastabatory crap that answers the questions I don't have answers to well enough to satisfy me.

Look.....We took it over. It's ours now.How many freaking pagans are celebrating the winter solstice except a bunch of Star Trek rejects. No one knows when Jesus' birthday was,so 12/25 is good enough for me.Jesus is the reason for the season!! and if Santy Clause wants to tag along...good for him.I will respectfully contemplate Matthew and Luke's Gospels during this season and then when Christmas is here ,I'll open my presents and have a wonderful Family dinner and Thank God that Jesus said"I have come to give life and that more abundantly"...He did not say "Be thou a miserable grump and take all joy out of life".

God specializes in taking pagans and making Christians out of them.
I don't celebrate a pagan holiday on December 25th. I celebrate the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ.
The pagan myth has obviously deceived you.
Merry Christmas!

YEESSSS! It is so good to hear this on the web. The one thing i would add is God to ld us to celebrate 7 other feasts. But Sadly we have neglected to follow them. So after we do away with christmas and easter, we need to start celebrating Passover and Sukkot. Like he told us to. and after that The sabbath Year!

lol. I say this a lot.
Who cares about the trees and lights. And the sun. That's not the point of Christmas. It's Jesus.
We're replacing a Pagan holiday to worship false idols with the real God and real savior. Praise God.
My origin is from Adam, who was a SINNER. I am a SINNER. God replaced my SIN with BLESSINGS and LIFE.
hallelujah.
