no, he's not gettting me one, but he got me something for my birthday, (it was when we were going out), his birthday is December 25, should I get him something any way?

i dont think so much as the question is that it is the birthday is on Christmas but that it is the ex. i mean look at what you typed. if you would have said that you are dating someone and their birthday is on Christmas, then of course i would have said buy them a gift. but you said ex. so i have to say no. i would not buy my ex a gift for his birthday on christmas. you broke up with him for a reason. he is your ex for a reason. unless you two are certainly getting back to gether and you know that this is true. then i would not buy him anything. and if you are getting back with him and you know that this is true, then he is not your ex...he is someone that you are dating. if on the other hand you are not likely to get back with him, you are not dating him, and he is classified as ex...then treat him as such and Move On.
