if you feel the relationship isnt heading where you want it to go....just be honest and let him know....he may change and if he doesnt want to then you can leave then knowing that you have given it a go and there are no lies behind you.....

Well I'd think if you've been together for so long you should know him well enough to talk to him. Who knows you might even be able to repair the problem in your relationship. Sometimes I think when a couples together for so long they start to just get comfortable with each other and a lot of times this can cause them to stop doing the little things that made you fall in love with them in the first place. Tell him how you feel and see where it goes. good luck to you. ;o)

Tell him exactly what you just said " This relationship is going no where. We've been together for eight years and we havent gotten any where. Its best we just break up and live our sperate lives" telling him the truth would be the best way to go with it. there is no reason to lie. its not liek youa re doing something wrong.

Have a conversation that goes something like this..

"it's been 8 years now and I feel as if our relationship has not progressed. I need to move on."

Then move. You should even have a placed lined up so you won't back out of having this conversation.
