I have this friend that keeps telling me that he really loves me a lot, but he always point out that we're too far apart because he said he's just too ugly and i'm the other way around. I hate it when he says that. Well, he's not good-looking actually, but I like him just because he's nice and caring. Yet I turned him down, because I'm not ready to have a boyfriend yet, and I'm not yet sure if I want to have a boyfriend at the moment. Is that wrong or not? Would my family & friends like him anyway? Because my friends look at the physical features first and not the personality. I just needed some advices.

of course this is ok. its totally fine that your not ready to be in a relationship right now. its sad to say, but since your friends judge only on physical features they problably wont like him. but dont let that discorage you. thats really shallow of them and i think if they are your true friends they would understand that you like (or love) him for who he is,
and thats the most important of all!

Looks fade, personality remains. However, you said you aren't ready for a relationship, so why are you questioning your decision? Give it some time and see how you feel when you are ready to start dating. In the meantime, treat him as you always have and just see what tomorrow brings.

If you're not ready to have a boyfriend, there's no sense in having one. If he knows this, he'll wait for you.

Look don't count is what inside that count, your friends is not dating this but you are, please give a chance, see what he have to offer
