Cheesy scalloped potaoes are awesome with ham. There's a variety of recipes for you to choose from here:
http://southernfood.about.com/od/scallopedpotatoes/Scalloped_Potato_Recipes.htm
Carrots also go well with ham - and for Christmas you can candy them:
3 cups peeled carrots, sliced
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp. honey
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
Pinch salt
1. Bring carrots and water to a boil in a medium saucepan. Reduce heat; cover and simmer until carrots are just tender, about 10 minutes. Drain carrots. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cook and stir over medium-high heat until carrots are caramelized and heated through, about 2 minutes. Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
THen you could add green beans or asparagus or some other green veggie and rolls.
Fabulous!

I'm having ham, potato salad, candied yams, collard greens, green bean casserole, cheesy cornbread, and baked macaroni and cheese. Hope this helps.
cheesy cornbread- mix cornbread according to package,(I use Jiffy), add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar and 3/4 of a cup of shredded cheddar cheese. Bake according to directions.
Candied yams- 1 big can of yams. Drain and add to sauce pan. Put in 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and 2 to 3 tablspns of butter or margarine and some marshmallows. cook on medium heat until heated and marshmallows are melted. stir a few times while cooking.
collard greens-I make mine with smoked turkey wings. Cook smoked turkey wings in a big pot with some water, and boil for about an hour or until meat is falling off bone. Make sure there is some water in the pan when finished. Rinse greens thouroly so no sand remains. Add to the pot of turkey wings and cover and cook for a while, until greens are soft. Add salt to taste,to the water before adding greens.
The green bean casserole recipe is on the back of the French's fried onions, although I have a little variation that I make.I use half of the cream of mushroom soup and half cream of chicken soup. Everyone loves this variation and askes me what it is.
Merry Christmas!

We always have turkey and all the fixings for Thanksgiving. So by Christmas, that just doesn't sound all that special. About 10 years ago, I started making lasagna and now we can hardly wait for Christmas and my lasagna. And it is so easy -- I make the lasagna the day before Christmas -- so on Christmas, I put that in the oven, when it is done, make a salad and garlic bread, and we are good to go. The secret to my great lasagna is so easy -- just add lots and lots of cheese!
