Is it true that if you lose weight you will lose more hair than normal?

Let me tell u something !! I See these other answer aint telling you anything !!!!!When I lose weight !!!!I also LOst hair !!!so IT is true THere!!!Therefore u can eat right ! diet ! whatever! ,however!If u lose weight,u can lose hair!Dont worry give it time your hair will grow back !!!!!MIne did !!!!!!Losing weight and hair lost co exist .....................................wink!!!!!I

Not if you lose weight on a balanced diet such as a Weight Watchers plan. Fad diets are very often NOT healthful and can cause you all kinds of problems including hair loss and heart damage.

If your diet is very poor not only will you lose weight but it can cause you to lose some hair as can many other things, poor thyroid function can effect weight and hair.

Not if you are on a healthy well balanced diet. If you start with malnutrition then yes you will have hair loss big time. You should always being taking a good multi viatim it will help keep the nutrients at a good healthy level.

some increase in thyroid activity due to increased metabolism will cause this,but if its severe, than it needs to be treated for hyperthyroidism. iodine supplements can help a little if you can find it in a source other than salt.
Certain weight supplements can cause this if they are taken improperly.
