When I woke up this morning my entire right leg is in pain (as if it were muscle pain but I didn't fall or do anything that would cause it) and the entire leg, including the foot is numb and coldish.

Anyone have any idea why?

How cold is your foot? Do you have pulses in your foot? Do you have pheripheral artery disease? If the pain is severe and the foot is truly cold compared to your other foot and numb, you need to go to the ER. You may have an arterial blockage or occlusion that could threaten you limb.

Are you on birth control? The first thing that comes to mind is blood clots in your leg. It's a possible side effect of hormonal birth control, and the risk is increased in smokers. Symptoms include redness, pain, and coolness to the limb. There are also lots of other conditons that may cause those symptoms, but you'd best get checked out by your doctor.
Hope this helps!

Idiot - call the doctor - not Yahoo! You could have developed a blood clot that is impairing your circulation, you could have had a stroke, you could have a pinched nerve in your back. In any event - this is not the venue for emergency medical advise. Jeeesh!

You have a pinched nerve in your lower back. Book an appointment with a good chiropractor.
