Had plans tonight with someone that I have been dating. He called a while ago and asked if we could get together tommorrow instead as he has been recovering from being sick. I know that he has been sick for about a week and missed some work as well. He sounded like he felt really bad about it. How can I tell if he is sincere or if he is lying to me? Am I just being insecure as I usually am?

If you know he been sick then theres your answer, why doubt it untill he gives you a reason to, thats not quite a reason since you know hes been sick and missed work because of it, be a great understanding girlfriend, and tell him you cant wait for him to feel better!

I would give him the benefit of the doubt. If it keeps happening, then you should worry. But like you said, he was off from work cuz of being sick, so maybe he really WAS too sick to make tonight.

I would chalk it up to him being sick and being thoughtful enough not wanting to pass it on to you especially since you already know he has been sick this week.

If your relationship is not serious (like "I wanna marry you" serious), don't worry about it. Just take his word for it.
