I'm trying to eat more snacks so I'm less hungry at meal time and avoid over eatting. I would like some healthy snack ideas that are quick and easy to make but different from the usual fruit/veggies/granola/popcorn. any ideas?

Berry Smoothie
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup low fat strawberry yogurt
1 cup mixed berries (fresh or frozen) (strawberries, blueberries, etc)
2 teaspoons frozen orange juice concentrate
PREPARATION:
Combine in a blender and mix until smooth. Thin with more orange juice if desired.

Pizza Bread Sticks

Ingredients

1 your favorite pizza dough
1 8 oz jar prepared pizza sauce
garlic salt
oregano
1 tb olive oil (or butter - melted)
Cut pizza dough into 1 X 6 inch strips. Place on a greased cookie sheet about 1/2 inch apart. Brush with olive oil and season with garlic salt, oregano to taste. Bake at 350 F for 11 to 17 minutes or until golden brown. While these are in the oven, heat pizza sauce.

Cottage Cheese and Apple Snacks
Ingredients
1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
2 tablespoons peanut butter
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon or apple pie spice
1 to 2 teaspoons skim milk
3 medium apples or pears, cored and sliced

Directions
1. For dip, in blender container or food processor bowl place the cottage cheese, peanut butter, and cinnamon or apple pie spice. Cover and blend or process until smooth. If necessary, stir in enough milk to make dip of desired consistency.

2. Serve the dip immediately or cover and chill it for up to 24 hours. Serve dip with the apple or pear slices. Makes 6 (2-tablespoon) servings.

well i think just eatin the serving size of low fat or even fat free chips is better. I think the best snack is peanutbutter and apples or even peanutbutter on celery. Theres also things like spups and there good too also better than eattin snaks and fills u up so u dont eat to much junk. theres lots of ways to not eat alot at a time but u gotta watch ur calorie intake. this is the best advice i can give u.
