How long does it take for adderall tolerance to set in? I have been on it, I have a 30mg script, 60 pills per month, I typically use about 20 of them per month. Just to do school work. I do not have ADD but it gives me increased energy to study. When I first took it beginning graduate school. I used 20mg and I was more talkative and euphoric. Typical symptoms. I had to call people on my cell phone if I was alone. Now I take 30, and it is not the same: takes more to achieve that effect. I understand the concept of drug tolerance. How long must I abstain from this drug, to restart it and achieve initial effect? I was thinking of not taking it for a month during break, and begin again at Spring semester. Please let me know if you need clarification.

I'm not a medical professional, but sometimes when I have a question about a medication, a take a look at www.askapatient.com to see what others' experiences have been. They rate the drug from 5 (great) to 1 (awful) and also list the dosage, side effects, age, and length of time taken. They have over 160 entries for Adderall. Take a look at
http://www.askapatient.com/viewrating.asp?drug=11522&name=ADDERALL%2010
and then do a Find on the term "tolerance." It will take you to all the places on that web page where people discuss tolerance build up to the medication and how they handle it. Several said they take "vacations" from the medication so that the tolerance will subside. Good luck.

properly, you could no longer smoke wacky tobaccy at a real activity. Dr*g sorting out is mandatory those days. besides this is against the regulation. and you will finally build tolerance to Adderall. So - what are you going to do?
