I follow the path called Jesus Christ, a narrow path and not as easy to follow as the wide path of the world. Those on this path are often ridiculed and scoffed at by those who are the superhighway. But here I have found love for God, the people of the world, and even myself.... Jim

Your question implies there is more than one path to God.
While people have blazed many trails looking for a Deity, Not all of these deities are the same Deity.
Some deities promise us a planet in space when we die, some promise reincarnation, some promise heaven or hell, some say that after you die that is all their is.
When we die we may go to heaven, we may go to another planet, we may get reincarnated, or just die, but we can not do all of the above. So some of these paths are leading to a dead end rather than God.
Some religions say that God cares about his/her creation, some say God is indifferent about us. Either God cares or he don't it can't be both. Still more dead ends.
Some religions in History encouraged child sacrifice, some abhor it. God can't like murdering kids and hate murdering kids at the same time.
The best one for me is the one I've been able to find the most proof of and that is the Christian path.

I don't worry about a "path to God". I try and focus on being a good person, thinking about my choices and actions, and the possible impact they have on others. If there is a God I think it would be rather arrogant to try to find or be close to him. I believe that by maintaining a healthy sense of humility I will be better able to act and behave based on things other than my own self-interest. I don't want to be a good person simply to get to Heaven or be close to God but because I livein and share a world in the here and now

I follow my own spiritual path.
Why? No one tells me what is "right" or "wrong" according to any religious belief.
God wants spiritual fruits, not religious nuts.
I attend a Unitarian Universalist church, where they believe in the pursuit of one's own spiritual path. We support each other on our journey without judgement.
I also go to spiritual drum circles and Native American Pow Wows and Medicine Wheels. I have also done Sweat Lodge.
I embrace each moment as part of my journey and take time to honor all that God has created.

You really need to investigate for your self: what paths claim to be the true path? Do any substantiate their claims? As someone who has already answered has already quoted, Jesus claimed to be the way (path), the truth and the light. He said none could go to the Father (God) but by him. Now if what he said was not true, he was a terrible fraud. In fact a cruel one. Either that, or he was absolutely crazy, totally out of his mind. When I examine his life I don't see any evidence of either of these being the case. So I need to take very seriously what he claimed to be.
In my case, I have found life, joy, peace, love.... by not only following Him but by letting Him live his life in me.
So I strongly suggest you read the New Testament for yourself, in an honest, searching, way, and let it speak for itself.

Hinduism. It is simply the oldest and most complete religion. Try and read English Translation of Bhagavadam. You will be astonished to learn what ever is happening now is already predicted. It is the most comprehensive religion provided you care to understand. You do not need to follow this religion but try and learn and decide for yourself. One of the FORD has already joined ISKON, an off shoot of Hinduism.

A son does not have to follow any path because a real son is lead by God, and our steps are ordered by him. God takes care of me, the saying God takes care of them that help themselves is a LIE. God helps the weak and fatherless, by sending good people their way. I hope I can be someones friend like this!
