truth? How revelant is "truth" on your journey back to your source? More importantly, is truth subjective?

The truth! Wow, that is a good one. Here let me attack this question with a lie, if you do not mind. A very simple principle has to be understood. If you lie once, then you will have to lie a thousand and one times to protect the first lie. Still it remains unprotected. Those one thousand and one lies cannot make it a truth. They may repress it, but it is still there. And in fact they are all lies, so every lie, in its own turn, needs again protection. And you cannot protect a lie by any truth.
Truth needs no protection. When you speak the truth it is self-evident, complete. Nothing else is needed, no support. It has its authenticity in itself. The lie is empty. It has no evidence.

I hope that will shed a little light for you. It did for me! Good luck on your quest for the truth, it is one that definately deserves a quest and search. Peace

Truth IS subjective. One man's truth is another man's lie. Take current politics for example the ones running this country would have many people believing a HUGE lie is truth. The sad thing is that many do believe this.

The shortest and I think best answer would be that ...

Truth is worth seeking.

Truth is the Voice of Nature and of Time--
Truth is the startling monitor within us--
Naught is without it, it comes from the stars,
The golden sun, and every breeze that blows. . . .

Truth for me is Jesus. "He is the way, the truth, and the life and there is no other name under heaven by which men may be saved." The truth is for me to just to the best I can to follow Him. Many of the questions and answers I find on this site are not relevant because we don't have to know all the answers. It is not a game or a contest. For me I just have to be sure of my conscience before God and Know deep in my being that I am His and no longer belong to the prince of this world.

Truth is the opposite of a lie. Truth is absolute. Finding something in print is not the proof of truth. Preachers will often say, " The truths of the church ", instead of the beliefs of the church. When the word "truth" must be stressed, be suspicious of it.

It is true without untruth that the truth cannot be argued with.

It is of subjective and objective importance. The truth is everywhere in all things and is all things.

This is truth:

Evolution is an imperfect and often violent process. Morality losses its meaning.
The question of good and evil is reduced to one simple choice, Survive or perish.

The truth? You can't handle the truth. Or maybe you can, but we can't.
