I have never been to jury duty before, and now have been chosen to be apart of a jury. The case is not extremely serious, but again, I am only 21. So, my question is what should I wear? Most of my clothes consists of jeans and causal shirts. Is that alright? Should I wear a suit, or at least slacks and a tie? I mean, I do not want to be the only juror there who looks like he is on his way to a frat party while all of the other (and older) people are dressed more professional, serious, and appropriate than I am.

If you want to serve, I would wear something like khaki's and a polo or button up shirt. Nothing too fancy or too casual.

Go comfortable, clean and completely dressed. No tank tops shorts etc. You shouldn't have to wear a tie and most don't. Most of the time unless you are chosen for the jury right off the bat, you just sit and wait. Take a book or game or something to do in between times or you will be bored out of your mind!

comfortable would have to be the key thing

, yet clothes that do not make statements, I would not recommend jeans but slacks and a tie are a great idea.

You are not chosen for jury duty because of your dress sense so never fearm enjoy and merry christmas to you

Depends on whether or not you want to be on the jury --

If you don't mind serving, dress nicely and conservatively.
If you would rather not be selected, wear a ripped t-shirt with some offensive slogan on it, ripped jeans that are way too big.
Any visible piercings would be helpful, as well.
A walkman is always good, too, as they will think you are not paying attention.

Dress code for jury duty does not always have to be suits and ties. Casual pants and shirts will do the trick. However, you are in a courtroom and the person in charge of a courtroom is the judge presiding over the case. He will set the tone for the dress code.

The paper you have from the court should have the information such as what is appropriate to wear to court for jury duty.Slack and a shirt. Not t-shirt will do.

Slacks, and shirt that buttons. At least for the first day, then see what the other guys are wearing.

Tie is optional, but make sure your shirt is nice.

Usually you should wear something business casual...I'd go shirt and tie (no jacket) the first day and if the rest of the jurors are more casual, I'd go with a button down with a pair of khakis...
