The Religious Right's patron saint of Armageddon paranoia. His best-selling books have sold 62m-plus copies and have popularised the concept of the "Rapture" - the belief that Christians will soon be whisked away into heaven while the non-Christians are all left behind. After the Rapture, LaHaye instructs, the antichrist will rule the earth and reside in a temple Saddam Hussein supposedly built in Iraq using an endowment given to him by a "sun worshipper". This co-founder of the Moral Majority also authored a sex manual that argues that Christian women are "more orgasmic".

As a unbeliever of truth, why do you bother yourself with such topics. What do you care anyway, and what are you trying to accomplish anyway? One thing about it, when it happens, you should? believe it then.

As far as being more orgasmic, if thats something your partner would desire of you, try it cause you'll be glad you did in more ways than one. PEACE!!!

I read most of them out of curiosity.

Mostly I wanted a professional opinion of how the Judgments might manifest. That part was interesting.

But there characters were rediclous, the plot was preachy as hell and repeated itself over and over and over, and by the time I got into "Ressurection" (Book 9, I belive.)

I was too bored to even care.

But now, I know I should convert when there are Seven years of peace in Israel. When there is an earthquake of proportions to shake the entire world so intensely that every person prays to die then and there. When all the religions form one super-religion. When someone trys to make me take a mark in order to buy or sell. And, my personal favorite, when the capital of the world is Bagdad.

Truely, there will be NO mistaking the end of times.

I used to like Stephen King, but his last few novels have been disappointing.

I've never read any of Tim Lahaye's fiction, but his sales are to a very limited group....just evangelical christians who believe in the 2nd coming of JC. I've read some reviews of the books, and generally he is described as being a bad writer.

So, unless he writes something that appeals to a wider audience...I don't think you can compare him to SK.

Tim LaHaye is one man I will stay away from. As a Christian I know how to explain scripture with scripture with out put money into another mans pocket.

Tim LaHaye's "Left Behind" series is fiction. What he writes is not acording to the teachings of the Bible.
