They hate gays and abortion, and love George W Bush. They worship in churches the size of shopping malls, and dominate the nation's and the world's political agenda. But is the Christian backlash finally starting against America's religious right?

Yeah, maybe. They want the end of the world to happen so badly, that they are the ones who are going to wage war against the world just for everything to happen in their eyes. They just don't want to be wrong, like they always are. I mean, look, they hate Islam! Who else in the world would reject their own god like that?

First of all not all Christians hate homosexuals they just hate homosexuality.
I like GW better then John Kerry, but it stops at that.

My church holds no more than 100 people.

If they dominate the political agenda explain to me why abortion is still legal, Terri Shivo is dead, and school vouchers are not the law of the land.

No we lost the last election because many Senators and representatives were acting like Democrats so many people voted for the democrats that act republican. Check it out yourself many of the new democrats are pro-gun anti-gay marriage, and pro tax refund.

Not to mention the fact that Republicans have bigger families, and have allot fewer abortions.. 3000 abortions have been occurring every day for the last 34 years, and most of them are occurring in democrat households. Most children join the political party of their parents. If this keeps up by the time my grand kids are old enough to vote democrats will be relatively invisible on election day.

I've always been of the opinion that the "religious right" was neither. At any rate, our so-called "religious leaders" are no more interested in saving souls than the Man in the Moon. What they are interested in is POWER: naked merciless force. What they have is not religion but religiosity: An affectation of strong faith which they use as a bludgeon to quiet dissent and forward their agenda. Someone once said when fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross. If you look at the tactics of America's religious in the last 20 years and the Nazis of the 1920s and early 1930s, there are a lot of frightening similarities. They share so much in common: dislike of Jews, homosexuals, and women's rights, strong nationalism and rabid patriotism, which they use to justify their oppressive tendencies. BTW, one of the first things Hitler did after gaining power was to outlaw abortion, because he considered it an abomination; that's really ironic considering what happened later. Anyone who believes our so-called "God-fearing" leaders would behave any differently is delusional. All we can hope for is enough of us can see through their agenda and stop them before its too late.

The religious right are not Christians. Real Christians don't hate others and try to provoke violence.
Rise up Christians and show them what you're made of! Let's have some peace and love in the world instead of all the violence and hatred.

And may your days be filled with joy.

Perhaps but be wary because these people are very powerful and all it would take is another event in our country like 9/11 to have people swing completly back

nice manipulation of reality. you can twist anything to make it fit how you see .....as proven by your question.

i must say your premise is SEVERELY flawed, but rather than do a little investigation you just blissfully eat whatever your fed, buying into the propoganda and agenda put forth by hollywood, the media, proffesors, etc...

whoever controls the media controls your mind...and how true that is.

i know many christian people...not one of them hates gays. and all of them love babies (thus the anti-abortion)

come back to reality sweets.
