No space is safe if your not careful. REMEMBER you may be good. You may be friendly. You may be happy. You may be a loving person. You may pay for not being cautious and taking preventive measures for theft identity. Criminal predators. Scam artists. Do not give out personal info no matter who you think you are talking to.
Use it responsibly and any place can be safe but only as safe as you allow it to be.
Parents or responsible caregivers should be involved to the point they know you are okay and not meeting someone secretly that you have never met in person or no one even knows.
Please be careful and good luck surfing the web because there is so much informational and educational things right at your finger tips. Use it wisely and WOW you can have fun with your friends and learn new and exciting hobbies and things to do right even at home with your friends and family.

It's just as safe as any other website, chat room, or IM. The only reason it's on all these news shows is thagt it's a popular site and people are stupid on it. Just use common sense, don't put your full name, address, phone number, etc on your profile. You could also set your profile to private so only your friends can see your info. You can even set it so that people have to know your last name or email to request to be your friend, so you'e sure only people you know and trust can see your info.
The only people who get raped, murdered, etc by people who they met on myspace are people who don't use common sense. Even if you are talking to someone online and think you know them, don't agree to meet them in person immediately. If you do decide to meet them, talk on the phone first, ask your parents, and NEVER go alone, take a friend and arange to meet in a public, open space with alot of people.

Here's wut u shud do:
1: Learn how to spell
2: Don't post a myspace question under Hanukkah
3: Check it out, if you have any worries, set your profile to private.
Myspace is good for keeping in touch with friends you already have, just don't post personal information, whether it's on your profile or while commenting a friend.
and 4: Learn how to spell

Safe in what way? this question is too generic. If you're a 10 year old girl then it's probably not that safe unless you set your profile to "private".

no it's not, I used to have a myspace, but then my firends cousin met this guy on myspace who said he was a girl her age, and she went to go meet her at the mall so they could go shopping together, and he raped her, so as soon as I heard that I deleted my myspace right away, so no, it's not safe, and even though it happened to her cousin, my friend still goes on myspace and talks to people she doesn't even know. so be careful, and I hope you make the right choice.

If you don't give out any personal info (name, pictures, address, phone #), make your profile private, only accept people you know and trust as your friends, and don't communicate with anyone you don't already know... then I'd say it's pretty harmless.

Yes it is very safe. If you need to, just set your profile to private. They have so many safeguards built in it is ridiculous. It is fun and worth it.
