White tail deer shed their antlers every year in the winter after the rutting season. Rarely will you see any white tail deer with antlers in the spring or summer. They will again start to regrow a set of antlers in the fall of each year prior to the rut.

They usually shed their antlers a while after the rut in late winter

Once a year.

And wall_id_pike, be respectful to those who do not hunt. Conduct yourself in a way that doesn't give non-hunters the opinion that hunting is only about blood and guts. You're really giving us a bad name and are not at all helping us gain popularity.

This must be easier than actually looking up the answer on the internet. It is once a year.

Nothing is more thrilling than seeing a nice rack walking towards you and then blasting it with a shotgun, or sticking it through the ribs with a razor sharp arrow. Then running up to it and cutting it's throat to let it bleed out.

Of course, you not being a hunter wouldn't know that thrill.
