and I'm not sure if it's a major problem, octane problem or need to change oil again.

If it's under warranty. Don't guess at anything. Take it back to a dealer and have them fix it.

Some Santa Fe models years have a problem with the computerized shift control. It may be as simple as the dealer reprogramming your ECU. Start with the dealer.

You neglected to mention how many miles on your Santa Fe. If it's been awhile, you NEED to change the spark plugs...they are probably causing the problem. They should be changed about every 15000 miles at the very least.
Changing the oil is always a good idea, and no, it shouldn't be an octane issue, Hyundai's run fine on relatively low octane gas if they're in good condition.

check your throttle position sensor and idle air control valve. or the stuttering could be caused by cylinder misfires, caused by faulty spark plugs or spark plug wires

it could be that you need a tune up. replace your spark plugs, maybe bad gas as well. I would add fuel injection cleaner and change the spark plugs.

sounds like plug leads . they r forever doing them. i work on them for a living.

try a power restore for your car something like redex .. you shouldnt notic antyhin like it for another good while
