Ok im having a big problem. I am 19 years old and I have a brother that is 11, hes been kind of chubby his whole life, well skinny chubby, but that past 2 years he has become overweight. You can start to see cellulite, and his gut hangs off his pants. Now Ive told my parents that hes getting big and limit his eating, or hes gonna regret it at my age I guarantee it. Well they never actually took any action, and I finally got fed up with it last night after he ate 1/4 huge box of chex with chocolate and powder sugar(hush puppies), and I dont even think I can eat that much. So anyway I flipped out, not only because he ate all of it, but because he lied about eating it, and continued to lie no matter what I said. So finally I grabbed an old/current pic and showed my mom and threw it at her and walked down stairs. Now my mom and dad decide to only have him walk 20-30 min a day, which is like 135 calories..... I duno, I just want the best for him

Sweetie theres not much you can do, but its sweet that you care soo much. At nineteen im sure your little brother looks up to you so why not try doing some active things with him, walking, football, maybe skating or a trampoline, outside sports, also helping your parents to see to get sugar and processed foods and carbs out of the house, more fruits and vegis. My 10 yr old daughter is having the same problem, we try to limit her food intake help her make the right choices and try to get her outside to play.Hope it helps. Its hard been through that as an overweight kid and now as a parent. you cant make it happen, you can just try to help them make healthy desicions. God Bles, Cristy

Your little brother is reasonably obese. If he's precisely six ft tall and precisely two hundred kilos, then his BMI is 27.one million. Less than 25 is regarded common and healthful, greater than 30 is chubby. He could desire to lose a few weight, notably for the reason that that it'll by and large be less complicated now then whilst he's a wholly grown grownup. The "set factor" for the leisure of his existence could also be found now. Help him devour healthful and activity. Also keep in mind that if he does not lose a lot weight, a BMI of 27 is simplest very relatively much less healthful than 25. So simply aid him not to get to any extent further over weight. Also word that if he has plenty of muscle mass, this can be a flawlessly healthful weight. This isn't the case very frequently, sadly. Assuming the additional weight is all fats is an overly well assumption at the moment.

Its normal for guys to gain weight at that age, its used for those growth spurts us guys are famous for... However It ain't too good that he's eating junk and not exercising. You've got spunk, I respect that, now take that little *** of yours, get a trash bag and throw out all the crap you can find in the kitchen, cause your whole family is going on a hush puppy free diet. Then make him join some kind of sport, he's too young to do any major lifting but getting his *** active will do a ton of good.

See if you can accomplish this...tell him he can have anything he wants to but on one condition... for every bite, he has to drink one glass of water. This is for his own good.

If he doesn't agree, take a weird picture of him and threaten him to release it among his classmates unless he starts to shape up :)
