There are 3 heaven and earth ages, same heaven and earth but different ages.
II Pet.3:5-7 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: 6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: 7 But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.
……………………………………….
THE WORLD THAT THEN WAS
Gen.1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
To that earth age the world that then was, belongs all fossils and remains. Scientific estimates or guesses; universe or heavens 20 billion years old, earth 4.6 billion years old, moon 200 to 300 million years younger than earth, dinosaur extinction 65 million years ago, Ice Age 2.5 million years ago.

First of all-you don't know the galaxies are billions of light years away.
Second-a light year is not a time, it is a distance based on a very large assumption.
Third-If God can just speak light into existance with a word-don't you think He could make it any age He wanted. He can creat light 1 day old or 10 billion.
Don't allow yourself to be confused about the speed of light, time. and distance. If you assume too much-you can get lost in space in a hurry.
Besides-there is not a scientist on this earth who knows how far away the closest star is. It is all just speculation.

According to fundies, the universe is about 6000 years old, which means the light from the stars less than halfway across our own galaxy should not be visible yet. Every night new stars should appear in the sky as their light finally reaches earth and the light from the nearest galaxy to ours (Andromeda) should not arrive for another almost 2.2 million years. Obviously the whole god thing is just a colossal pile of crap.

The universe is the same age. "In the beginning, God created the HEAVENS AND the earth." (Genesis 1:1, emphasis added). Now, considering God MADE space and time, He is therefore outside of it and is not governed by it. Make sense? Thus the act of Him creating creation is not dependent on our human perceptions of space and time. He could easily have created the star along with the necessary beam of light reaching from it to earth. Sorry if I'm not clear... Well, obviously there is a continuous beam of waves of light emanating from the star that we can see, right? Well, God not only made the star, but He created the beam that would have been there by natural operations if the star had been present for as long as would be necessary for time to allow that same beam to form. Same answer for all of the other stars and galaxies.

I agree completely with you. To many human beings in this section replacing to christianity. besides the indisputable fact that, for logical causes, i must take their area with this one... The Earth isnt 6k-10k years previous, yet anticipated to be a minimum of a few billion years previous (Its not just about as previous because the solar, besides the indisputable fact that that is truly previous.) In time, a large number of light would have reached right here. Its not very surprizing. As for at the same time as there universe replaced into made: Its anticipated that it replaced into 14 billion years in the past, yet then it replaced into specially basically debris. It replaced into about 10 billion years in the past that stars and such would have actual shaped if im superb perfect. Please, superb perfect me if im incorrect with some thing.

Good point, if the earth was created at the same time as the universe, there would not be enough time for light to travel here from distant stars if the earth was only 10 thousand years old. The universe is somewhere between 10 and 15 billion years depending on who you ask.

Because the earth is not 6k-10k years old.
It can be biblicaly proven to be much older than the 6k figure using soley biblical info.
But for me, even if I were a christian that 6k figure would have to be a minimum of 12k or greater per physical proofs that deny noahs flood to be newer than 12k years ago.

I'm sure the universe is a few trillion years old.
God didn't create the sun until the 4th day. Therefore the first 3 days could have lasted a few billion years.
Genesis is not about the creation of the earth. It's about the beginning of the fall of man.

Space is one day younger than Earth and the Spiritual Heavens. The Universe (Galaxies) is three days younger than Earth.

Don't be dumb, we could see the light from the beginning. on the 8th day for example everything was working. Stars shining, chickens laying eggs, water flowing in streams, oil under the ground.
