There are so many kinds (and brands) of vegetable oil available. I need recommendations for what's best to use in baking recipes that call for liquid veg oil (and not the solid Crisco or butter or margarine). The baked stuff is sweet, not savory (it's apple cake).

I use canola oil for baking purposes, and it all turns out fine.

i found canola to work good for me.
