I told my friend I was in love with her a year ago after a guy she dated for 2 yrs. broke her heart. She said needed time to get over him, so I kept my feelings buried as best as I could. Love is patient I know because I've had feelings for her for a long time, even before their breakup. Im not sure I can kept pretenting that she is only a friend to me. We have been spending more time together and she tells me I make her feel safe and that there is an attraction. I think she has feelings for me but she still seems afriad to take the step. She told me I've been great on not pressuring her and giving her time but its breaking my heart. I told her recently I was still in love with her. I have never had these feelings for anyone in my life

Give her time, take things slowly, and let her dictate the pace of the relationship. It sounds like her ex-boyfriend really hurt her, and its hard for her to trust men now. The best thing you can do is show her that you're not going to hurt her, and that your feelings are genuine. Use your actions, not your words, to express your feeling. Give it time, and things may work out in your favor.

WELL YOU KNOW LIFE IS NEVER EASY AND THERE ARE GOING TO BE HARD DECISIONS IN YOUR LIFE. MAYBE YOU SHOULD KIND OF SHOW HER HOW YOU LOVE HER BY ASKING HER OUT. SOME PEOPLE WILL ACT A CERTAIN WAY AND FEEL ANOTHER WAY INSIDE. TAKE IT NICE AND SLOW, TRY TO GO ALONG WITH HER. OK WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY IS IT WILL TAKE TIME AND YOU GOTTA DO WHAT YOU GOTTA DO. SO WHATEVER YOU DO, LET IT COME FROM YOUR HEART.

To be blunt? Move on. If she "feels the attraction" she will follow. If not you have cut short the suffering.
