DVD Shrink worked great for a long time but development stopped more than a year ago. Today you are going to find movies that it simply cannot rip in any way.
To get around that you can download a 30-day trial of DVD Fab

This is similar to DVD Shrink, albeit not free, but updated and resistant against the newest of industry practices that make copying movies harder.
