There are 3 standards for HD that are being used right now - not including SD - 720P, 1080i and 1080P. 1080 does not refer to pixels but horozontal lines of resolution. In your case that 768. Just because a TV says it does 720p, 1080i or 1080p doesn't make one better than another. This is sort of like dtermining which car to buy by how fast it goes.

1366x768 is 720p, which is HD but not full HD
1980x1080 is Full HD 1080p
the latter looks better, but only if you have a tv supporting Full HD

1080p is really full hd, but 1366x768 isn't. it is normally known as 780p, not as good as a 1080p
