I like this guy, but he's like, shorter than me. how do i ask him out? I never asked someone out before!

No problem! Just ask him: Hey, lets go out and have a good time! Be sure you already have what you're going to do in mind. Make it a date you can talk and get to know one another.
I LOVE shorter men! Seems like they try a lot harder to be kind and giving. My hubby is 3" shorter than I am! And he's a sexy guy!

Just go to him and ask him. Don't beat around the bush or nothing like that, ask him straight out. Don't worry that he's shorter than you, that's no big deal. Best of luck to you.

Well if you really like him and want you to be together then try to not look down TOTALLY and then say whatever you want to say to ask him out!! For example say Hey ________ I was wondering if you wanted to go out sometime? Or try Hey_______ DO you want to come to my place tonight? Those have worked magic for me before and hopefull they will do the same for you.

You very politely tell him, "If you buy a pair of shoes with high heels to wear, I'll go out with you." Jokes aside, go ahead and go out with him, what if he is shorter than you, what counts is that you like him, people do not matter.
