Whenever I sit down for a while and then I get up, I get really dizzy and my vision half-way blacks out. It's not "dangerous", but it happens all the time and I hate it! How can I stop it?

Hi!
If you are on any medications, that can cause this. Also, having low blood pressure. Whenever we get up from a sitting or lying position, our blood pressure drops and then quickly regulates itself when we get up.
The only way you can resolve this is to rise very slowly. Your bp will rise with you better if you do this. And take in slow deep breaths as you are getting up, to get oxygen to your brain. This will help with the near blacking out/faint feelings you are having.
I hope this helped.
Take Care! :)

That is caused by low blood pressure. It may or may not be dangerous. Dehydration, for example can cause low blood pressure, or you may just normally have low blood pressure. However, there are more serious conditions that may cause it, so if you seem really faint, are vomiting or are having dark stools, consult a doctor immediately. If you just feel a little dizzy after you've been sitting for a while then that's completely normal. If your still concerned talk to your doctor about it on your next visit.
The link I provided has more information about low blood pressure symptoms and causes.
