It could be a symptom of pregnancy -- a test will show a positive result about 15 to 21 days after intercourse, so take one and see. It's the only way to know for sure and get the best care if you are, in fact, pregnant.
By the way, sore nipples and breasts were my first symptom, about 4 weeks into the pregnancy.

Your nipples are sore? Well, no, that doesn't mean 100% for sure that you are pregnant, although it is a sign that you may be pregnant. Wait until your period is supposed to come, and take a test if it doesn't.
