Then why does he plan for such bad things to happen to some people and great things for others. Also, why is suicide a bad thing if that was in our "plan" to die that way?

Usually when a person asked “why does God let bad things happen”, the response I usually give is that it’s not God that lets bad things happen but its people’s free will that lets bad things happen. Than you might think, “why doesn’t God stop them?” it’s a cycle that goes round and round. I suggest looking for answers within your faith, and there will be one! From my perspective, God is always there for us and created us out of Love and Love is the essence of humanity, but right now humanity is not at an intellectual and spiritual level high enough to stop pain, suffering, or evil within. But that’s not all humanity more than half are good people and many miracles happen everyday. So I always take the good with the bad, and learn endurance to accept the things I don’t understand that are evil in this world and appreciate the very good things that are in this world. In response to suicide, again depending on your faith there are answers there. But for me, suicide is not an act of evil. If a person commits suicide I don’t believe God would punish them or send them to Hell, God is all mercy and compassion. It may or may not have been a “plan” we all have a destiny. Life has a natural order to things when one commits suicide in my belief, they are breaking that natural order, and may be in “limbo” for a time, but there will always be transformation for the soul to process to high consciousness or reincarnate back to earth to re-live their purpose. Death is only the begging to new consciousness and new destinies.

People are imperfect, that's why bad things happen. Those people that have a "good life" made it happen for them selves. You have the choice to do what you please. But don't blame GOD for John Doe killing someone, John Doe chose to kill. That was not GODS plan. We are the imperfect ones, and that is why it is an imperfect world. And always will be till Jesus returnes and we are in perfect fellowship with GOD.
Merry Christmas

It is a sin to commit suicide. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people, it has been that way since the beginning of time and will always be that way.

Don't blame God for the bad things that go on in this world. If people dont' call upon Him for His help, or they do not invite Jesus to be their savior, and allow Him to lead them, they have only thier own selves to blame. If they are not following God, then they are following satan who is the one who causes all the bad things that happen in this world. To blame God is a cop out!

People really do have their free will. God makes plans and then people choose to do what they want. Bad things happening that are not our fault is what this world is all about--to test our faith. Life is eternal and eventually God will give the rewards to whom they belong.

God has a plan for each of us.... tho sometimes we are victims of other people's sins... they choose to do things that fall short of the Glory of God, and we sometimes get caught in the fallout. God made each of us with Free Will... if we choose to commit murder unto ourselves, it is not to follow God's plan but to choose our own plan over His... everything in life is either a blessing or a lesson. we can learn from the difficult times and grow or we can become overwhelmed... nothing is impossible if we keep searching for His Will instead of our own.

Some people stray from the path God has for us.

Matthew 7:14
Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

destiny only takes us so far, before we must do the rest. god gives us choices it is our choice even life or death is our choice. you should look closer as to why those bad people seem to get all the great, you must ask what they did to obtain that great and what, it really cost them; there souls perhaps? we are tempted by negative influences all the time but we must have faith.so when destiny delivers you on your path face it without fear. fear is your enemy never let fear stop you from being great.

You make perfect sense, Southern, unlike Christianity. I'm just glad that God decided I should be an atheist. If he had decided I should be a Fundy I might have had to consider that whole suicide thing.
