Be truthful. Tell her how you feel right now,,,(I'm sure you have some feelings for her),,, and tell her that you don't know where the future lies between both of you. I was in the same boat with my spouse. I loved him when we dated and he was not ready to say I love you...he flat out told me the truth... and I waited cause I loved him. Finally, He said he loved me and now 10 years later we are still together and happily married!

I agree with those that say honesty is the best policy. I've been in that situation many times, on both sides. Whatever you do, don't pull a Han Solo and say: "I know."

From experience, if she gets upset about you not saying it, I've found that one simple phrase can help things immensely: "I'm sorry, but I'm not entirely ready to say "I love you" yet because when I say it, I want to mean it." Then ask her for some patience. It's also important to tell her that you are close...you don't want her upset and worried that you'll NEVER say it back.

How about "thank you." ? Tell the person that it's such a wonderful gift she/he gave you but you are not worthy of their love. Say that you have not reached that level, yet or maybe never. Say it with kindness as those words that that person said to you are sacred words. Don't lie and don't be a creep. Be compassionate. If you can't verbalize it, write your feelings down on paper. Good luck.

Use the evasion tactic. Say something like, "so you want to go see a movie?", or "want to go out for mexican?" If she presses you on the subject tell her you have to go to the bathroom or you might sh*it yourself, then crawl out the bathroom window.

Seriously, if you put yourself in this position you have to deal with it. Tell her how you really feel. Be as nice as you can but don't expect the relationship to last after this no matter how you handle it, if it does she is either a freaky sex machine or emotionally unstable. If she continues on with you make sure she is the fomer and not the latter. Good luck.

Well tell the person how you really feel tell her that you don't want to say I love you right now because you are not sure and that you would rather tell her you loved her when you meant it whole heartedly than now and hurt her for lying to her

it's a tough situation. You'll have to be like "look I know you want me to say I Love you back but I don't think it's fair to you to say that when I am not sure about how I feel exactly. I haves trong feelings for you but I think we need a little more time for me to know if I trully love you."

Just be honest. She's going to be a bit hurt, but nowhere near how she would be if you led her on and let it become deeper.

it's better to tell the truth than to lead someone one. if you lead someone on, like in this case, you are giving her false indication of a possible long term relationship. tell her the truth, if you don't love her, don't lie. it's better to tell the truth.
