You missed your chance to do it the nicest way possible. Just tell him you're not interested. It is disrespectful to do otherwise. He may even feel like taking the invitation back because you were luke-warm on the idea...now he has to wait around while you treat him like a schmuck. It's not so easy if the process is dragged out on and on, its embarassing.

Just say no in the nicest way possible. It's no good to string him along, and it wouldn't fair to date him knowing you don't like him that way, so just tell him. He should, I imagine, understand!

Be honest, say something like 'I'm flattered you asked me out but I really value our friendship and am not attracted to you romantically'. He might be disappointed and maybe a little embaressed but should appreciate your honesty.

Well, I've encountered this many times before. You just have to be straight forward and tell him that you would rather just be friends. Also, it might be beneficial if you include that you would rather just be friends than leading him on. Just be honest!

Young Lady; the truth is always best. Why lead him on. Think about how you would want someone to tell you.

Tell him directly, than making a lot of talks. I always say 'sorry' first then I follow it up with 'no.' If he'll ask why, it's either you tell him why or not, it's your choice.
